Andy played patient Freddy Manning, whose story forms part of the episode due to be shown on 4th May.

“The Shop” is the story of a run-down back street betting shop and the characters who work in and frequent it.

Jack Summers plays Big Joe and Jamie Kenna his unlikely flatmate and work colleague Mad Ray.

 

A four-page pull out in the Daily Mirror in February 2009 to encourage people to give up smoking. I was with 6 other people on the shoot – none of whom smoked!

Pete Blaggit is a man desperate for a second chance at life. For the past twenty years he’s been responsible for the downfall of his family business; Blagmore Wedding Videos is no longer the leading company it once was. Pete has made a living filming wedding video after wedding video; watching happy couples celebrate the biggest day of their lives. His brother Eugene and his protégé Clive help out with the wedding videos, but even they have had enough of Pete’s behaviour.

Angry, depressed, and disillusioned with life, Pete totally destroys a wedding thanks to his uncontrollable temper – he’s rude, loud and full of disrespect to anyone and everyone who gets in his way. It seems that life can’t get any worse for Pete. But it does. Strange, unknown forces are occurring in Pete’s life that he can’t explain; visions and hallucinations that he can’t shake off. Clive and Eugene are convinced Pete is losing his marbles as these weird visions take over his life for the worse.

Director Will Howe filmed a beautiful half-hour short based on My Dad’s A Birdman by David Almond in which I got to play the magnificent Mr Poop!

I got to play a greasy biker masquerading as a sexy woman(!) in a new regional campaign for Cash Converters that will be hitting screens later in 2009.

I got to play Rob Walker in this improvised mock-documentary feature about paparazzi photographers. Clips and photos coming soon.

I’m delighted to be playing Edward in this challenging and moving play. It’s performing at The Space @ Royal College of Surgeons (venue 53), Edinburgh from 17-29 August at 2:10pm.
